wow, BarCamp Malaysia is a reality, at last

why do I say so? well, I heard of this BarCamp Malaysia earlier before BarCamp.my was here, long story short, the meet up was canceled last minute by the person who actually started with the idea (I guess). 2 weeks later, I heard about this BarCamp again in Facebook (where else.. :|), but this time with a total different approach.. and with BarCamp.my registered.

well at that point of time, I was confused. but who cares anyway?

now that BarCamp Malaysia is a reality, bravo! I was happy to attend, though it’s not as perfect, but considering this is a first meet up, with tickets/seats selling like hot-cakes and sold out in 6 days, the meet up is a success. p.s. walk in registration is accepted now, btw.

urm, is BarCamp for blogger?

well, I can see a few bloggers (LiewCF and GobalaKrishanan too), but most of the people who joined are programmer and developer, full time and freelance. it makes me feel small, though.

but ya, the topics are all interesting enough. sadly I had to leave early (at 3pm).

so which topics has caught me in? hmm, what’s pretty interesting to me is widgeo.us, and the idea from UrekaLabs. but hey, I thought I’ve seen this thing somewhere else? where ya?

and after lunch (served), there was this guy from Sudan, an author i guess (please correct me if I’m wrong). he was talking about freeedom, religion and blogging. what ever came out from his mouth I have to admit that it was very, very interesting. it’s all about how blogging or internet itself change the world. no he did not talk about everything nor he has prepared for that session, but he was just there to share what’s in his mind, and the book is coming out soon btw.

I believe there will be more interesting sessions tomorrow.
