What do you get from blogging?

Tags:

I’ve spoken to many people, mostly friends and colleagues about blogging, what it’s all about and how much you can earn out of it.

No, not only money, but many more..

I don’t have to repeat what blog is all about because there are many good blogger out there done good job by writing and presenting what needs to be said. Very little will say no to blogging once they understand what blogging is, and most enjoy being in the community. That is why the number of bloggers around the glob has amazingly, increased exponentially!

I’ve seen many bloggers grow themselves from a beginner to someone who’s known to the world, real and famous too.

And back to the reason of me writing this, how much can you earn from blogging? No one can actually give you a figure. Money? Of course, this is one of the greatest reasons why people start blogging. But again, my point here is not just money. If this (money) is the reason you reading this, then you might want to stop and find another topic or site to look for whatever things you looking for, really.- Make friends, lots of friends

In real life, how many people do you meet daily and how many of them will keep in touch with you? Do you know that bloggers never quit their daily social life once they become a blogger? So why afraid spending time in front of your computer? They even add more friends and build a happy life with it. Blog is never limited to location or number of people you meet daily. Say hi (and bye) to any one as much as you want, share idea by leaving a comment, and expose yourself to the world by even just a visit without having to leave a note or comment (mybloglog is a good example). If you don’t get me already, once become a blogger, the people around the world is considered your good friend. You can interact with them for many good reasons, not like chatting in a chat room.

- Idea sharing, even on tiniest issue

In earlier days, newspapers and mostly books are our resources of information, and then we have internet and websites with facts and lies about something. It’s a one way learning process, or simply translate, boring. We seldom have discussion, and if we have one, that will be among people around us, mostly to people we comfortable with. But with blog, you have the world to discuss with you, about anything, in one simple medium, blog.

Find any topic, visit a blog. After reading you might have something to say about it, and then leave a comment. Same goes your very own blog. Write anything and you will get a feedback from others too.

- New discovery

Bloggers often share idea by leaving a comment on any blog they read, and by leaving a comment, they leave their name and link to their own blog for reference. One entry in a blog could gather up to hundreds of comments from hundreds of people around the world. Imagine how many links are there in the comment section only? You might want to follow where ever the link will go, and what you get is a new discovery. Of what? Well, you found a new blog! Found a new blog is equal to found a new friend.

And of course, not all blog is personal. Some blog will focus on certain niche, and therefore you have a wider rage of topics to discuss about. Read blog, offer you more information, from many point of view.

- Recognition

You are a person; you have a character which represents only you in this world, you are unique, you deserve a compliment for many reasons. Why silent and hide yourself in a small room? Go out and make friends, show the world what you have and be yourself. Don’t be afraid to shout on anything. Let people know your idea, because there are people out there who really appreciate your feedback and idea, good or bad. If not people around you, they might be somewhere else who can only find you if you start blogging. Sooner or later you’d be glad to receive a compliment, personally.

For some bloggers, especially the older of us who started before blogging became a household name, we blog because we want to. No payback save for the reasons we give ourselves.

With those reasons at least, a lot of what we do makes more sense. At least whatever motives that were done were pure. Not like what’s on these days.

Honestly? A persistent memory. A lot of what I write about is stuff I want to be able to reference later. There’s other stuff, as well, but my primary motivation is to provide my very own knowledge base.

    well written.

my purpose of blogging is to seek for the opportunity to meet new people and share with them different points of view which i really cherish as a milestone for improvement to myself.

but my humble blog evolves more around my thoughts and feelings in life, nothing so exclusive like the other many good blogs.

    :)
